Wine Cask is thrilled to partner with World of Pinot Noir by hosting the annual Winemaker Seminar. This year spotlights “California Pinot Noir - Great Sites.” The discussion will focus on exceptional vineyard sites, the talented people behind them and, of course, some incredible wines that come from several reputable vineyards including Cerise, Gaps’ Crown, and Pisoni. Moderated by the ever-entertaining Master Sommelier Fred Dame the panel will feature Kosta Browne founders Dan Kosta & Michael Browne and Kosta Browne Winemaker Nico Cueva. The seminar will captivate the audience with exceptional wine and lively discussion on what makes a vineyard a ‘great site’. Fellow wine personalities Gary Pisoni, Anthony Filiberti, and Ryan Prichard round out the panel, all of whom share a vineyard or winery connection to Kosta Browne. Sign-up

Maison Louis Latour was established in 1797 and has been passed from father to son for 11 generations. The company is currently run by the seventh “Louis”, Louis-Fabrice Latour and is the largest of Grand Cru property in all of the Côte d’Or. Each year WOPN honors a vintner based on his/her contribution and success in producing world-class Pinot Noir. The 2017 honoree, Merry Edwards, is a class act when it comes to making a mark in the category. Enjoy a special multi-course dinner with the Sonoma based vintner and friends: Greg Brewer of Brewer-Clifton, Kathy Joseph of Fiddlehead and Jeff Stewart of Hartford Court. This multi-course dinner will be held in the new Angel Oak Restaurant.
Hitching Post Retrospective with Frank Ostini

As one of the original founders of WOPN, Chef Frank Ostini is back and this time it’s all about the wine and barbecue in a retrospective dinner. This dinner features a vertical of Hitching Post Pinots, made by Ostini and Gray Hartley, with traditional wood fire barbeque meats prepared by Frank and his team. This is not your typical backyard gathering.
A vertical collection of Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noirs from 1991 to 2001 will be presented mostly in large formats.
