Allan Scott got his fingers in Marlborough dirt when he was involved in planting some of the first vineyards in 1973. He and his wife Cathy established their winery in 1990. It is a family affair today with two of their children Josh and Sara serving as chief winemaker and ceo, and viticulturist. They produce a range of wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Noir, as well as sparkling wine. They also produce Pinot Noir from their Scott Base Vineyard in Central Otago. The winery on Marlborough's Golden Mile welcomes visitors through their cellar door (tasting room) and Bistro.
