  Our vineyard selection for the Sonoma County Pinot Noir has continued to improve over the years. We source primarily from select vineyards in the Sonoma County sub-appellations of Los Carneros, Petaluma Gap, Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley. This is the most important wine in the Banshee lineup, and we treat it as such. An exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting at the seams with aromas of fresh, muddled strawberry, bright cherry and pomegranate with hints of forest floor, toasted caramel and five-spice. The flavors combine to create a fruit-driven front palate and very subtle oak influence. The finish leaves you wanting more, with nice acid and flavors of strawberry sauce, pomegranate and spice to create great weight for an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.

• 2021 Banshee Trenton Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

  Russian River Valley/Barlow Lane Vineyard

  Trenton Vineyard is planted on low rolling hills just south from the banks of the Russian River northwest of Santa Rosa. This cooler climate vineyard is influenced by coastal morning and evening fog, perfect growing conditions for pinot noir. This quintessential cool climate pinot noir has lush aromatics of strawberry jam and fudge covered bacon with hints of baked cookie crumbs, sassafras and mocha. Rich flavors of pomegranate, bright cherries and cola are balanced by a hint of caramelized sugar and vanilla. This big, muscular wine is bright yet full-bodied with structured tannins that is beautiful now but will only get better with time.

• 2021 Banshee Barlow Vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

  Barlow Lane–Ana’Veem Vineyard is a small 2.5 acre plot in a nice couple’s backyard, just outside the tiny hamlet of Graton in the Russian River Valley AVA. The vineyard slopes down towards Atascadero Creek where cool air tends to pool from evening until late morning each day. The high-density vineyard is planted equally 50/50 Pommard and Swan clones on classic Goldridge soils. This structured yet delicate pinot noir has aromatics of exotic berries, cherry pie and vanilla custard with a hint of bramble. In the mouth, you find smooth, deep flavors of dark chocolate covered cranberry and pomegranate with a touch of rose and cigarbox on the finish. A beautiful pinot noir with structured, elegant tannins and a long finish.

  Our Morning Light Pinot Noir is a block selection from our best Sonoma Coast vineyards that lend those awesome marine influences and wild character we love in our pinot noirs. Our winemaker selects the best lots of our Sonoma Coast fruit then selects each specific barrel for this coastal blend. Aromatics of plum and black cherry with hints of hibiscus, toffee and all-spice with leather undertones lead to an inviting, medium-bodied pinot noir. Bright flavors of juicy cherry and strawberry touched with spice and vanilla lead into a full, toasty finish with silky, smooth tannins. This wine has plenty of personality and would love to be served with a slight chill on a warm summer afternoon.
