Montemar is a small family owned and operated winery located in Lompoc CA. Specializing in Pinot Noir and Rhône varietals, Montemar’s motto is “Serious wine, serious fun”. Steve and Caryn Arrowood started making wine as Garagistes in 1992 and have perfected their craft over the last 30 years, opening their tasting room in 2013. Their son Kyle and his fiancé Layne Johnson have taken over as winemakers after Steve passed away after a long battle with cancer in 2020. They are continuing with the same practices and passion as Steve, keeping the tradition alive. Montemar currently produces around 1,200 cases per year with many different small-lot bottlings available only to wine club.
